Research and Development on Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf by Edward Albee
Following ‘Counting the Ways’, Jeni and Jean’s shared love of Edward Albee’s plays led them to ‘Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf’. It examines the breakdown of the marriage of a middle-aged couple. After a university department party, they receive an unwitting younger couple as guests late one evening and draw them into their bitter and frustrated relationship. A very successful ACE funded research and development week was held but sadly the production rights were withdrawn whilst fingersmiths were planning a full production. One day…….
‘Very enjoyable, surprising and worth doing’
‘Jeni Draper’s productions are always fab’
